MINE!!

Yes, unfortunately that title is right...Harry has learned the word mine and knows how to use it.  In fact, he is quite sure that everything at any given time is his (it acually goes more like "No, Mommy!  MINE!! with screeches) and both my hearing and patience have suffered because of it.  In the past few weeks, my sweet little boy has really been showing his twoness.  I love him so, but man.  He can be so loud, obnoxious, and just generally difficult to get along with.  I asked Katrina if he had been acting like that at daycare and he hadn't, but she pointed out the culprit who taught him this dirty little word.  A boy that is about 6 or 7 months older than Harry has been acting out in that department lately and it seems as though Harry thought it was a good idea too.  I try my best just to ignore him and we do time-outs when it gets really out of hand.  Sheesh.

However, as is usually the case in our family, the good definitely outweighs the bad.  Mr. Big Boy Harry has slept in his big boy bed for four nights straight!!  He is doing so awesome that I'm kind of afraid to talk about it in fear of jinxing us.  We set his aquarium beside his bed to give him the idea that this was where he would be sleeping now.  At bedtime, he has not gotten out of bed once and the first night he slept in the bed, I had to go wake him up at 11am the next morning!  He must find his new room quite comfy!  The only snag we have encountered is nap time.  Since he usually resists naptime (even though he still really needs it), he got up and started playing with one of his piggybanks and back to the crib he went.  This technique will not do for long as this weekend's project is to move baby brother to the crib and we will have to raise the mattress up.  I will have to say that I am ecstatic over how well it has gone so far and I really hope it continues.  We are so proud of him.

Baby Elliot is 3 months old today!!  I feel like I don't talk about him very much on the blog because Harry tends to steal the show so much, and lets face it...newborns are pretty much little blobs that like to eat, sleep, and cry for the first few months.  He is starting to be a little more interactive lately which is cool.  Sunday at church I had him facing me and he was playing with his tongue, sticking it in and out.  Then he would break into the biggest, gummiest grins.  He was too cute.  I think I have caught him checking out his hands while sitting in his carseat a few times too.  I can't wait to get him weighed next month because it seems like his has been picking up some chub here lately!  One day at daycare recently he used up all of his milk and drank another 8 ounces of formula on top of that!!  He is still wearing 0-3 month clothing comfortably except for the pjs.  I will definitely have to dig out some 3-6 month ones for him because I had to leave some of his snaps undone last night.  He is getting too long on me!  He is simply the sweetest, yummiest baby right now and we just love him so!!

Warning:  one last cute Harry story.  Travis called me at work this morning while he was giving the kids breakfast and had me on speaker phone.  We were talking about Uncle Chris's birthday dinner (Happy Birthday!) tonight and Travis mentioned our friend Bryce.  Harry heard him and said "Fries??  Nonalds??"  I guess the little guy thought fries from Mc Donald's sounded good for breakfast.  He is so cute I could squeeze him!
