We've Made It...So Far!

Hmmm, should I smile??
Okay, I will!
Well, we have made it through two days of me working and we are all doing okay! I'm sure that I am taking it the hardest, though. Harry stayed at Jamie's house on Monday and she said he did really well! He didn't cry much at all and he slept about 2 hours off and on throughout the day which is more than he has ever done for me, but that was probably since our sleeping and eating schedule was a little different. Travis stayed with him today and I think they had a really good time! I think this was the longest he had been with Harry by himself...that probably would have been a funny sight to see! I am glad that I have tomorrow off, I need a break already! I kind of feel like I did when he was a newborn. I don't do well with a lack of sleep.
Harry had another first tonight. He cried because he was scared of something! He was taking a nap when Travis got home from work this evening and for some reason Oscar and Callie went nuts when he opened the door. The dogs barking had never bothered him before, but he instantly started crying really loud instead of working up to it like he normally does. It was one of those cries that only Mommy or Daddy can make better. I felt sorry for him, but it was also really cute! I got him calmed down and Travis made him laugh if you can believe that!
Travis and Harry at the Newport Aquarium
I'm such a dork...we had a really nice 4 day weekend in Cincinnati and this is the only picture that I took! We had our hands full at the aquarium--we went at a time that you couldn't take strollers inside, so we carried him the whole time. Travis got lots of awards at the recognitions banquet Saturday night, we were really proud of him!!
Chris and Harry
Chris came over to visit us Sunday when we got home. We went to Los Amigos and Dairy Queen and to visit Granny. Travis and I also got to drive the new Mustang and neither one of us killed it! I hadn't driven a stick shift in such a long time!
A Happy Father's Day and Some Shots (Boo!)

Happy Father's Day, Dada!
Here is Travis and Harry on their first Father's Day...don't they both look excited?? We had a fun day! We cooked out at my Mom and Dad's house and my grandmas and Uncle George and Aunt Audra came over. We had a great meal and even went to Dairy Queen for dessert. It's hard to believe that next Father's Day, George and Audra will have a baby of their own!! We can't wait!
Harry had a doctor's appointment on Friday. He got a good report from the doctor--he said everything was going great! He tipped the scales at 13 lbs 4 oz, almost 6 pounds more than when he was born!! I'll probably never have to worry about this kid not eating well!! The downside to Friday's appointment was that Harry was 1 day shy of his 2 month birthday, so they couldn't give him his shots. Whoever had made our appointment messed up and scheduled it too early. It pretty much topped off an already crummy day. I only got half of a paycheck from work and Travis was having a bad day at work too. So we made a second trek over to Muncie on Monday so he could get his 2 month immunizations. I felt so bad for him, he was so happy when we got to the office. When they stuck the needles in, he got this look on his face that was like, what the heck??!? He got pretty red and screamed, but not as bad as I thought he would. He calmed down as soon as I picked him up, fell asleep in the car, and pretty much slept the rest of the day.
Vaccinations: The Aftermath
Other than being really sleepy, he handled it really well. I couldn't ask for a better baby!!
We're off to Cincinnati tomorrow through Sunday for an Edward Jones regional meeting. Then Monday will be the day I have dreaded since the day he was born...I have to go back to work!! I didn't think it would bother me that much to go back, but then I realized how much fun it is to be a mom! I know we will all be all right, but it will probably take a while to get used to a new routine.
How can I leave that face??

Hurry home, Uncle Chris!!
I just wanted to post a few cute pictures of Harry on his 2nd month birthday. We were busy decorating Uncle Chris' house for his return home (hopefully for good!) from Phoenix and I thought the balloon theme fit both occasions really well!

Hey Mama, I'm ready to go!!
Harry and I went to Indy today to visit our friend Jen and her twins Noah and Andrew!! We had a great time! We went out to eat without any major meltdowns and then we went back to their house to hang out for a little bit and to play. As you can see, Harry really enjoyed their toy! In fact, he talked me into getting him one the next time we're out! He is such a persuasive little guy...

Can I have one???
We also did a few other fun things this week. We went to Collin's tee ball game on Monday and saw all of the Blessingers. Harry will be on his own team before we know it! Little Morley was there to cheer on her big brother. They keep saying that she is a lot bigger than when she was born, but she still seems to teeny to me! It is funny to see the difference between her and Harry since they are only 4 weeks apart. They both go to the doctor on Friday and I bet she won't weigh what Harry did when he was born! Harry also picked out his Father's Day present for Travis. He got the wine refrigerator that he has been wanting forever. What a nice gift for a baby to give his dad! : ) Here are a few random pics from this week. Keep your fingers crossed for us on Friday...the first round of shots will not be fun I'm sure!!
I'm soooo full!!
I'm getting to be such a big boy!
A rare occasion....using his pacifier!

Harry with Nana and Poppy
Well, we made it back from Tennessee safe and sound! We had a great time...it was really good to get away from our house for a while. I think Harry and I both enjoyed the change of scenery. I think he also loved the attention! It was nice for him to be held for 4 days straight! He was so good on the car ride down and back. We even got stuck in a traffic jam on the way home which added on an extra hour and a half onto the trip and he was such a trooper! Our new van made things so much easier...there is no way we could have made it in the Accord! Oscar made the trek with us, and he got to swim for the first time. He was really good at it, but I don't think he liked it all that much!
Travis and I noticed some big changes in Harry this week. He is a lot more content and seems a lot more aware of the surroundings. He is smiling a lot and he makes this adorable "mmm goo" sound that is too cute for words! He is also starting to sleep a lot better at night too which is a big bonus for me! He usually goes 4 to 5 hours the first stretch and then about 3 hours after that.
Harry's first game of In-between
What great parents...exposing our child to gambling already!!
Get me outta here!!!
